Reviews of Vlad and the Roman Triumph

My 7 year old daughter found this book fascinating. We loved trying to say some of the Latin words (there is a helpful list at the end of the book.) The illustrations are full of so much detail and we enjoyed talking about everything we could see in the pictures (including various wild animals and a whole dinosaur skeleton) parading through the streets of Rome.

I loved the characters and the fact that the story told from a flea’s point of view. It was a period of history that I didn’t really know about so it made for an interesting read.

Overall an enjoyable story and one which I will read with my son when he is old enough.
