Hurrah!
Vlad has finally made it back to prehistoric times and features in our latest book set in the Stone Age.
When we decided on the subject we were incredibly naive about how hard it would be to pin down a specific moment within the 2.5 million years that the Stone Age covers. However, once again museums came to our rescue and once we saw the exhibition in the Yorkshire Museum of the Star Carr archaeological finds, it was clear this was our moment.
The book follows a middle Stone Age family (Mesolithic) and in the course of the adventure we cover their lives, food, shelter, clothes and build an idea of what might have been important spiritual icons from cave pictures in Creswell Crags and the deer masks found at Star Carr.
As always there is adventure and fun in the story and beautiful illustrations on every page.
Kate is gradually creating resources to support using this book at home and in the classroom and you can preorder a copy from the shop. Once it is launched on 1st June it will be available in all the usual places you can buy books.
