Once again the shout will go out over York as the Romans set up camp next to the Yorkshire Museum. Kate will be there and sharing the author tent with an illustrious selection of writers of fact and fiction, for adults and children. She will also be running a couple of sessions – one on Saturday and one on Sunday – reading Vlad and the Roman Triumph.

It’s a great chance to see and meet experts who recreate life as a Roman, whether that is a soldier or a matron at her loom.
