Last year, when the first lockdown started, we began a project to write a special edition Vlad adventure. Like all his stories it would be based in historical fact and told from his perspective. But unlike our usual books the authors and illustrators would be the children who found their lives turned upside-down. Our book was about someone in history who suddenly found themselves locked away and with an uncertain future too – Elizabeth Tudor, second daughter of Henry VIII. When her sister Mary came to the throne Elizabeth was taken to the Tower of London.
After lots of research, writing and editing we have a wonderful book with a great foreword by Dr Tracy Borman, a leading expert on this period. We are so excited to have it out there now, and all royalties from the sale of the book will be going to the NSPCC.
We will keep you posted on the ongoing money raised here as the first royalties come in and you can buy the book through this link.
